Multifunctional 1-channel dimming actuator to dim or switch lights on/off (110-240 V~). Switching and dimming functionality for all approved trailing-edge phase control dimming lighting; Leading-edge phase control only for inductive load approved. Featuring integrated logic module with comfort and timer functions, power measurement and short circuit detection (1x 300 W @ 230 V~).
The small green control modules, called frogs, are the heart of every frogblue system and form the basis of the Bluetooth®-based smart building solution from frogblue. Our frogs can switch, dim, measure, open doors or react to buttons, switches and window contacts.
Connected to the mains or battery-powered, they are linked together with "virtual cables" via the frogblue Bluetooth® mesh network. They forward messages and thus extend the range. Data transfer between the frogs is always encrypted (128 bit), and this in addition to Bluetooth®. frogs are smart, packed with innovative functions, are very easy to configure and do not require a central unit or control cabinet. With a power consumption of just 0.2 watts, they are also extraordinarily energy-conscious.
Installed in a deep flush-mounted back box (recommended socket depth: 63 mm) behind any conventional switch/button, junction box, weatherproof outdoor socket or lamp outlet, this multifunctional 1-channel dimmer actuator can be used to switch and dim all approved trailing-edge dimmer lighting. Leading edge control is approved only for inductive loads.
For example, with this frog and another frog as an input module, e.g. the frogIn3-AC, the dimmable lamp in the garden house can be flexibly switched from indoors via 3 inputs (buttons or switches) without additional infrastructure. Supplied with power and connected to the corresponding lamp, a lighting circuit of up to 300 W can be controlled via the 1 output of the frogDim1-0.
You can freely configure whether or how the light is dimmed. And this can be different at night than during the day. Additional functions, such as building-wide central on/off or cross-room lighting scenarios, can be defined with the frogblue ProjectApp.
The frogs can be controlled with the frogblue HomeApp via smartphone or tablet (iOS and Android), frogDisplay, frogKey or simply via the conventional switch/button connected to a frog. We always recommend buttons, as the full range of functions can be used with individual and different touch patterns, such as double or triple clicks, etc.
For assembly in device sockets according to DIN 49073. Socket depth minimum 53 mm when installed behind switch insert, individual installation is required at lower depth. A socket depth of 63 mm is recommended.
This device is a product of the frogblue system. Detailed technical expertise obtained through frogblue training sessions is a prerequisite. The functionality of the device depends on the software. Detailed information regarding software versions and the respective range of functions can be found on the frogblue website. Technical descriptions, additional detailed instructions as well as notes, information regarding proper disposal can be found in the manual, which is available on the frogblue website. Commissioning and configuration will be executed using the frogblue app.
Electrical devices may only be installed and assembled by qualified, skilled electricians. Failure to observe the instructions can cause damage to the device and result in fire and other hazards. Danger caused by electric shock. Device is not suitable for disconnection from power voltage. Even when the device is turned off, the load is not electrically isolated from the mains. Before starting work on the device or replacing light sources, always disconnect the power supply and switch off the circuit breakers. Country-specific regulations must always be observed.
